Jet Lag
4 a.m. as I slither lumpily
between time zones, bumpily
siding you, my belly against your–
rumple-y minutes spent
in the dim between shadows, your shoulder blades
scything sibilant sleep breath, my wander attempting
to synch with the sounding board
of your sinewed back, but
I’m back, I want to whisper you; you
turn.

Another draft poem! Ha! Again, I’m not sure picture goes with it, but it is a photo of a light sculpture by my husband Jason Martin.
Will likely link this one to dVerse Poets Open Link Night.
