Book of Words

Book of Words

Mimi cry
cause Testa meant
no good–
oh he would rap sure,
so cool he set her hair a-tic (not just heart)
but if Mimi tried
for her own part,
he slagged her as a Me-imitator,
said he’d terminate her
if she didn’t goddamn
shut up,
and so she shut,
but for the cry.

Kind of a strange ditty for Mama Zen’s prompt on Real Toads to use words from a wonderful book of words put together by her daughter–I’ve cheated here I believe, using my own versions of same.  Drawing is mine, all rights reserved.

wow – how clever and inspired – a conversation within the play on words and word playing and this is just brilliant! Stunning image as well – love the energy of both pieces, separately and combined!

Hey Pat! Thanks. I wasn’t sure who you were because the scribblers dip blog didn’t allow me access. I would be happy to check out your work but wasn’t sure of link. All best k

Loving it, K. Like minds run together, I had “Mama cry”, both words run together. I’m sorry her boss made her cry. BTW, Mrs. Jim it Mimi to the grandkids.

  6. I really love how you found all the new words in those… so very clever.

  7. Oh such brilliant play upon words, K!💘

I'd love to hear from you!
