Foggy
I am not sure that I will be able to get a poem up today due to the press of life’s obligations and my own fogginess. While I sort that out, here’s a photo (from last night) of the building that is being built at the old World Trade Center site (“Ground Zero.”) This was originally called the Freedom Tower, now is called One World Trade Center. Upon completion (some time later this year), it will have 104 floors and will be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. It is already (since April 2012) the tallest building in NYC.
Oddly, it doesn’t actually look that tall, even without the fog.

Darkness and fog remove the context and scale from the building. I guess they do that to everything! Thanks for another flash of inspiration, Karin. 🙂

Breath taking, and I approve the change of name!
Life and you must come first. Posting comes well down the list.
Blessings.

Cool photo. I lived in NYC for a time and then visited my sis-in-law often. I have mixed feelings about building 104 stories on that site but it became about making a big! statement.

Yes. Well, I think it was also about real estate values. The lessor of the space – with 99 year lease- pushed very hard for the rebuilding. They have avoided the “foot prints” of the original building so the new building is really just at the very edge of the site, and is much smaller. I, too, thought it should be a park, but much of the site will be a park. (I haven’t visited though I walk by it every day.) k.
