I noticed this weekend how these threads of weeds or blades of old grass captured heat from somewhere melted the snow around them making shadows of voids. Couldn’t get image like this, though. I feel a poem coming on!

nice…i love the perspective…i had to stare at it a bit…the hoar frost crystals are pretty amazing and do some awesome things…..
