Brrrrrr……
It’s been really really cold by the Hudson River in downtown NYC today.
This is in fact an old photo taken when Pearl was younger and more adventurous– no way could I get the older, wiser Pearl to go and pose on ice floe, not even with an extra jacket.

Yes. She’s really getting punier than ever these days. She’s quite thin, but doesn’t seem able to digest a lot at her age. (That’s an old picture.)

Poor babe. She is adorable in that coat though. I once read a quote that went something like “Life is a machine for turning romping puppies into grey-muzzled old dogs sleeping by the fire…” or words to that effect. But wisdom does come with age. Mine are both getting up there and no longer even think about chasing the neighbor’s cows or, even their new donkeys, which have been quite tempting to them, I’m sure. Stay warm, k.

Ha. Pearl used to go bananas at squirrels and, for some odd reason, Coorgis. They are all safe from her now. (Well, they were always SAFE from her.) k.
