    I thought perhaps it was a ladybug jumping from 24 miles above the earth. Very cool pics. I have heard an old wives tale that the spots on a lady bug tell its age–no idea if its true.

  3. I really like the first shot best. I tend toward taking closeups in the first place. But here, the only splash of color against the dark hues is the small bit of red. In this case, I enjoy the way the ladybug “interacts” with the environment.

    I like the third crop -where ladybug is largest. She becomes more the main character of the mysterious picture story. I think the dot=age thing has been debunked- their lifespan is something like 2-4 years. Nice details on this dotty one.
