That Time of Year Again (Oscar Night)

I am not going to be able to watch the awards show tonight.  No TV and faulty internet.  But I did want to honor some great old Hollywood favorites!  (My apologies to those of you who have seen these pictures before – you have also probably seen the movies more than once! )

If you have a free moment during the award show- I expect there will be commercials –  please please please check out, my comic novel,NOSE DIVE,  book of poetry, GOING ON SOMEWHERE, or children’s counting book 1 MISSISSIPPI

Funny, I don’t remember elephants in Lawrence of Arabia…I will not be watching the glamfest either, as a matter of personal apathy, but cheers to those who enjoy.

These a pics we’re happy to see over and over again. Thank you! Interesting how evocative they are of the times when we first saw them …. rather likie songs in that respect.

You’ve done them proud – and reminded us of some bygone treats worth reliving. Hope you get your T.V. and internet back soon.

Ha. Thanks. Don’t have tv where I will be living and Internet seems terminally slow. It works but not great for streaming. Have to figure all that out! Of course I will be in and out of the city where Internet connection is better.

Good to know you can journey into the city for internet … are you going to participate in ‘Poem in Your Pocket’ on April 18th? I think it’s a neat idea … every city should be doing it!!

    • ManicDdaily Says:

I journey to the city to work! but I do have internet there at my office. I love Poem in your Pocket day – and the whole poetry month. I am going to be overseas during a lot of April, including the 18th, so I’m not quite sure how I will handle all of that. But it is a lovely practice, and I agree that every city should do it. k.

Excuse me, but there is an elephant in your ear, and it may already be too late!
