Duck (And Cover) Friday Flash 55
Worry, jogging, what to do–ducks ahead, my memory jogged to daughter in ER (years ago) with duck-bitten thumb–those bills tough on cracker=holding digits–till digital-fixation overcomes hesitation; I dumbly pull out smartphone like a shield.
Click-click. Ducks, luckily camera-shy, fly. Good thing they are not paparazzi-loving bears.

so hey is daughter still in ER? whats up with that? sorry that totally distracted me and was looking for a note of explanation..hope all is well now…
the ducks where we lived in MD were crazy…we had to get ontop of tables to get away from them…more than once…

No, no. That was years ago. I meant to say that I get a bit nervous when I see them because of that, but then my urge to take pictures takes over. I don’t think I said it very well! Ha! No, these were perfectly innocent ducks. But I’m in DC so they may be related to the ones that chased you! k.

You WIN! a million and one uses for the smartphone. You were definitely outnumbered. I love this trail along the water. I also enjoy the stop action third shot. And in the first, the stones and bridges are comforting next to the unpredictable ducks.
