   this strikes home particularly strong right now. a good friend goes in tomorrow for an emergency exam, after her ob/gyn referred her to a specialist, who in turn referred her to a sub-specialist, who has *never seen* a tumor like hers grow that fast (2 weeks.) She may very well have surgery on Thursday, and we are hoping it’s not too late. Prognosis on similar diagnoses in the literature is particularly distressing. ~

       no. it’s as feared. IBC. prognosis grim.
