Oh, K. I love what you did with this.

Ha. Thanks so much, Jamie. I am sorry to be out of the poetry loop again, but have been very pre-occupied with work, depressed by politics, and trying to do (when free) some other types of projects. Your support for the drawings, something I’m just drawn to right now, is very much appreciated, as it’s not something I’ve done very much of before, outside of the elephants! k.

Continuing to do creative work in the current cultural/political atmosphere is hard. I hope you keep drawing and get back to poetry when you feel up to it. You are such a talent and I’m sorry I don’t have time to visit more frequently. BTW, not that you are a surrealist but you might enjoy this short feature. http://lithub.com/the-women-surrealists-helping-me-through-our-new-political-reality/

Not replying in right place–but thanks for the Surrealist thing–someone sent me some short films about Leonora Carrington (whom I’d not known before.) But I don’t know the others, who look very interesting. I am not so into surreal male artists–but these women definitely have an appeal! Ha! Also, I should get more political probably but right now am a little embarrassed and tend more towards the childen’s area–but maybe will try to move that way, as it is all so terrible. Take care, and thanks again. k.
