Wild Things in Washington (photos)
I have been staying in Washington, DC for a little bit. These are photos of animals I’ve seen in or by the Georgetown Canal, where I jog very slowly. My husband is convinced the snake, over six feet long, is a boa constrictor that someone must have released. I didn’t get close enough to get a definitive pic unfortunately !

Yikes, Quite a snake…The geese should be a little more nervous than they appear!

Yes. I was nervous for them. They were a little upstream but not far.

That can’t be a boa, no way! 🙂 But your photos are cute. Thanks.

Probably not. But my husband insists, from the head, that it is not a water moccasin. I am not sure what it would be! But I kept some distance. k.

wonder what the local zoo or museum would think of that photo? python or constrictor, that thing could get humongous on a steady diet of ducklings. yikes ~
