Bug Paparazzi Redux

The above seems a rather sad montage to me.  It’s interesting that the same photo, flipped, with the butterfly facing upwards seem so much more cheerful, winged versions of the glass half-empty and half-full, I guess.  (Or maybe not!)

    I agree. I initially took the image – the top image – to be of a fish!

    it is allin how you look at things….and the smile/frown on its back def accentuates both ways…


  4. I agree, it has a different look to it both ways. Sad or happy, up or down. I also hadn’t noticed the smile as it’s going up either. 🙂

    i think there “is” a definite msg difference, even if it’s culturally instilled or whatever, in us –

    ascending is usually thought of as better (preferable?) over descending, even if over the mix of time, we necessarily experience both –

    Butterflies do seem to have a right side up from the top view when it comes to how a picture of them is to be hung. 😀
